Activities: block of the month 07/08
This year's block of the month is derived from Barbara Brackman's Facts & Fabrications, Unraveling the History of Quilts & Slavery. Participants will enjoy piecing these historic blocks and at the end of the year have 12 completed blocks ready for a quilt top.
Here's how it works
Sign-ups begin in July and are limited to 35 members. Each month for a $2 fee, participants are given a pattern and a fat quarter of light-colored fabric. Adding fabric from one's stash, members complete the block and present it at the following month's meeting.

Showing your completed block to chairpersons Ginny Boan or Pat McCandless enters you into that month's drawing for five beautiful fat quarters! If you miss a meeting your packet will be held, or upon request, mailed to you.
Block of the month runs for 12 consecutive months, starting in July and ending the following June. If for some reason you choose to drop out please contact Ginny Boan or Pat McCandless. There are members on the waiting list who would like to participate.
