Community Service: Auburn Area Christmas Basket Program
Established in the early 1980s, the Auburn Area Christmas Basket Program provides qualified individuals and families with non-perishable foods, meat, fruits, vegetables, gift certificates and toys. All donations are distributed locally.
Since 1992, our Guild has supported this program by donating 50 doll quilts a year to adorn the beautiful, hand-crafted wood cradles which are given to the three year olds, along with a doll. We also donate money to help purchase gift certificates for the teenagers.
Doll quilts need to be approximately 12" x 15". This is a great project to dive into one's stash.
